The same as most of Greece s larger islands
there are many smaller more secluded islands surrounding
Lefkas. One larger island called Meganisi and
eight smaller islands of Skorpios, Kastos, Petalou,
Madouri, Skorpidi, Kalamosm, Thiliam and Kythros.
The capital is also called Lefkada and is situated
in the north east of the island and was mostly
rebuilt after earthquakes in the years of 1948
and 1953 destroyed that part of Lefkada. You will
find a lovely historical centre with cafes, restaurants
and shops hidden around its narrow streets.
Lefkas is a real holiday island paradise,
with beautiful beaches and costal landscapes.
The housing of the capital and towns are very
photographic consisting of houses made of wood
with striking metal sheeting of many colors given

Entertainment and Lefkas Nightlife
Lefkas offers a brilliant nightlife scene. With
many bars night clubs to keep you up dancing the
night away till the sun comes up. If this is what
you are after on your holiday then most of these
bars and clubs are concentrating in the capital
Lefkada and the holiday resorts of Vassiliki and
Nidri.

climate. Very mild but it does receive a lot of
rain in the winter months. This helps the vegetation
