| Viti Levu is
the main island of Fiji and its surrounding reefs
produce some world class surfing. A very popular
surfing resort in Fiji is Nagigia Island where
you can surf both right and left handles depending
on the wind direction. You can expect an average
wave face of 4 to 8 feet. Its worth pointing out
the low and high tide difference results in a
lot of the reefs around Fiji can not be surfed
on lower tides. Also although the reef creates
exciting waves, these waves aren’t really
suitable for the beginner surfer.
