| Both Rarotonga and Aitutaki are the main holiday
tourist destinations of the all the 15 Cook Islands.
Of course you can visit either island on a day
trip from the other. Day trips from Rarotonga
to Aitutaki Island are available but the forty
five minute flight will make for an exhausting
day. So it is recommended that you spend a night
stop over on Aitutaki to make the excursion more
relaxing.
Cook Islands Weather
The summer holiday season of the Cook Islands
are from December to April. With the summer comes
the added likelihood of rain due to an increase
to a hotter more humid climate. The winter months
provide cooler temperatures and less rainfall.
For a warmer holiday look into booking a vacation
to one of the more Northern islands like Aitutaki
as temperatures are higher.
