Prince Edward Island vacation

Canada’s smallest province Prince Edward Island located of the east of the main land. An island surrounded by miles of beautiful beaches and colourful landscape its an island that has a growing following for a fantastic vacation break.

The island of Prince Edward Island is separated into four main touring regions.

Charlotte’s shore in the middle of the island where you will enter the island if you travel across the Confederation road bridge. Charlotte’s Shore is a great place to start of your vacation where you can sign up for walking tours, beach tours.

Anne’s land caters for tourists that are looking for not only a lively vacation but also offers some quieter spots. There’s a lot of contrast in its landscape. A large pull for tourism travelling to the island is to spend some time in the Prince Edward Island National Park one of Anne’s Lands biggest features. A real variety of landscapes can be experienced from sand dunes, wetlands, sandstone cliffs, forests and beaches. With such a diverse terrain the park provides natural habitats for a diverse wealth wildlife. Many rare species of plants and with a trained eye the endangered Piping Dover bird can also be spotted The National Park protects the natural beauty of the region and ensures that the miles of white sandy beaches and fragile country side isn’t spoiled. The park is open all year round with its full services operating from late June to August.

For family tourists vacationing to Anne’s Land region won’t have a chance to be bored. There are many activities open for the whole family to enjoy including an adventure park, water slides and days out deep sea fishing and kayaking is all catered for.

The North Cape Coastal Drive region, to the west of the island, where you will find fishing and farming communities and stumble across some of the most secluded beaches on the island.

The region on the East of the Island is called the Points East Coastal Drive. If you wish to get a way form the hustle of city life and wish to experience wide open spaces and fresh air whilst exploring natural trails and taking part in out door activities this could be the vacation destination for you. For the lighthouse enthaurats amongst you the region has four wonderful light houses. All open to the public in the summer months.

Prince edward Island currently has 21 golf courses around the island, Courses ranging from famnily and beginner courses to chamionship golf courses. The northern, central and eastern shores currently have the most courses but there are still a few plaves to play a round in the weatern region of the island.
